With the Yaşar University Media Centre VR Lab, we developed an interactive VR simulation that guides users to pack an earthquake kit step by step.
RESULT
Users of every age, including students and institutional staff, learn disaster preparedness experientially.

Preparedness sticks through experience.
Earthquake Kit VR is an interactive virtual-reality experience developed to raise disaster awareness. Participants pack an earthquake kit step by step in a realistic home setting, getting to know the essential items needed in a crisis moment.
Every item that needs to go into the kit can be examined in three dimensions; touching it plays an audio description of its function and importance. Real-time scenarios reinforce the skill of making the right decision in a crisis.
The simulation was designed not only for educational institutions but as an experience any user of any age can learn on their own; it aims to make people more knowledgeable, resilient and prepared without needing formal training.
